Stones and Fire is the powerful debut album by London singer-songwriter Art Block. Combining beautiful string arrangements by Jay Chakravorty, superb production by Ian Barter, Amy Winehouse’s former guitarist and musical director and mixing by Shuta Shinoda an award-winning mixing engineer, this is a collection of his most cherished songs. The album speaks boldly and intimately about themes of childhood, war, mortality, isolation and lost love, overlaid with Art’s emotional vocal and beautiful piano. Mixing various styles of music from electronic, using Moog synths, Roland TR808 beats and traditional acoustic instruments, the resulting songs are a unique addition to the alt-folk rock genre.
